Who we are

Sia’s Beauty NYC is a skincare studio in New York City. This policy covers this website, our booking system and the messages we send you. It is written in plain terms because we would rather you actually read it.

What we collect

  • Your name, email address and phone number, when you book a treatment, place an order or create an account.
  • What you booked or bought — the treatment, the length, the date, the aesthetician, and the items in an order.
  • What you tell us — skin concerns, sensitivities, requests, and anything you write to us on an appointment thread.
  • Payment status, but never your card. Online payments are handled by Stripe; we see whether a payment succeeded and never the card number.

Why we hold it

To take and keep your booking, to prepare for your treatment, to send you confirmations and receipts, to answer you, and to keep the records a business has to keep. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not run behavioural tracking on this site.

Your phone number

Your phone number is used to reach you about your own appointments and orders: a confirmation when you book, a message when something moves or is cancelled, and a note from the studio when there is something you need to know before you come in. You agree to this by ticking the box when you book, and you can withdraw it at any moment.

We never sell or rent your phone number, and we never share it with anyone for marketing. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party. The only companies that see your number are the ones that carry the message for us — our messaging provider and your own mobile carrier — and only so that the message reaches you.

To stop the messages, reply STOP to any text, use the link at the bottom of any email, or enter your number on our unsubscribe page. You can turn individual kinds of message on and off in your account. Sign-in codes are not marketing and continue to arrive, because without them you cannot get into your account.

Who else is involved

We use a small number of services to run the studio, and each of them sees only what it needs to do its job: Stripe for online payments, Resend for email, Twilio for text messages, and Turso for the database that holds your bookings. None of them is permitted to use your details for their own marketing. We do not sell your personal information to anybody.

How long we keep it

Appointment and purchase records are kept while you are a client and afterwards for as long as tax and business record-keeping requires. Consent and unsubscribe records are kept indefinitely on purpose — deleting the record that you asked us to stop is how a studio starts messaging somebody again by accident.

What you can ask for

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop messaging you. Write to us and we will do it. Deleting your details ends any appointment we are holding for you, so we will confirm before we do that.

Children

This site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their details. Treatments for minors are arranged with a parent or guardian in the studio.
